Updated: Nov 13, 2019
Big Congratulations to Elizabeth and her team at Selah Freedom from GSO-EHT — we’re proud to have you as a partner!
Selah Freedom has been awarded our largest grant ever from the state of Florida! We are so grateful for this new legislation and the state’s continuing belief in our programming, outcomes, leadership staff and commitment to save lives!
“This $1.5 million funding positions us to expand our programs to save more lives than ever and continue producing the highest level of outcomes, standards and measurements in serving this population. It also allows us to not only make an impact in decreasing the incidence of sex trafficking in the state of Florida and other cities in America, but to restore the quality of life for sex trafficking survivors who now have the ability to thrive, finish college and have careers,” says Elizabeth Melendez-Fisher Good, Co-Founder and CEO. “We applaud the new law and hope that other states will follow in Florida’s lead to combat human trafficking and modern-day slavery,” Good adds. “The generous investment from the state is an affirmation of Selah Freedom’s position as a national leader and as an essential service provider of national initiatives for victims of human trafficking.”
Since 2011, Selah Freedom has served over 4,000 survivors, over 12,800 children and interveners, and educated over 1.3 million people! We are excited to take our organization to the next level in serving survivors and protecting innocent children!
